Who we are
This website is run by Shelly Duncan, trading as Shelly Duncan Simply Digital. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, you can reach us at shelly@shellyduncan.com.au or PO Box 8001, Tumbi Umbi NSW 2261.
We take your privacy seriously and aim to handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to help you:
- Information you give us. Your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter or download a resource, and your name, email and message when you fill in the contact form.
- Purchase information. If you buy a product, our payment provider collects the details needed to process it. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Basic technical information. Like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (for example, general location and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information to anyone. Ever.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about working together.
- To send you the Simply Put newsletter and the resources you asked for, if you opted in.
- To deliver any products you buy.
- To keep the website working, safe and useful.
The tools we use
We use a small number of trusted services to run the business. Each has its own privacy policy:
- MailerLite for our email newsletter and resource delivery.
- Tally for the contact form.
- Payhip for selling and delivering digital products, including payment processing.
- Substack for our blog and writing archive.
- Hostinger for hosting the website.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside Australia. We only use reputable services that take privacy and security seriously.
Cookies
Our own website keeps things simple and does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Some embedded services, such as a form, may set their own cookies to work properly. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email. You can also ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, just get in touch. If you ever have a concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we only keep it for as long as we need it. No system is ever completely secure, but we choose our tools carefully and keep our access limited.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
